Kendra Scott opens at Stuyvesant Plaza
GUILDERLAND — Kendra Scott, a national chain of jewelry stores, opened a location in Stuyvesant Plaza on Tuesday, Nov. 25. The store is on the plaza’s north side next to Lola Saratoga.
The jewelry company was founded by Kendra Scott in Texas in 2002. In 2016, according to Forbes, Scott sold a minority stake in her company to the private equity firm Berkshire Partners at a valuation of $1 billion. Scott stepped down as chief executive officer in 2021.
The Austin-based company has over 3,200 employees.
The Kendra Scott stores continue to host Kendra Gives Back events to benefit local nonprofits in the community.
“Kendra Scott is the latest in a growing lineup of new-to-market retailers at Stuyvesant Plaza further enhancing the Capital Region’s shopping scene,” said Rachel Ferluge, General Manager of Stuyvesant Plaza, in a release announcing the opening. “We’re thrilled to welcome guests to experience the brand’s signature jewelry, eyewear, candles, fragrances, and watches, just in time for the holiday season.”
