Local candidate profiles 2025
In this Guide: Guilderland
All of the open town posts in Guilderland are uncontested, with Democrats running for supervisor, two town-council seats, justice, and clerk.
In the interest of serving democracy, The Enterprise posed questions — and each candidate responded — so that voters know who the candidates are and what they stand for. Their profiles start on this page and continue on page 17B.
All profiles are posted on the Enterprise website.
In this Guide: New Scotland
The race for town council in New Scotland is hotly contested with the two incumbent Democrats — Adam D. Greenberg and Daniel M. Leinung — challenged by two Republicans: Christopher J. Mielke and Craig Shufelt.
The other town posts are uncontested with Democratic incumbents for supervisor, clerk, highway superintendent, and justice seeking re-election. Justice Robert W. Johnson III and Highway Superintendent Kenneth C. Guyer declined to answer Enterprise questions.
