Unbridled Sanctuary, which rescues abused or abandoned horses, is celebrating its 20th anniversary onSunday with a brunch and tour of the facility.

GREENVILLE — Unbridled Sanctuary, a nationally accredited equine rescue facility in Greenville, will open its gates for “Brunch in the Barn: Honoring 21 Years of Sanctuary” on Sunday, Sept. 21, from noon to 4 p.m.

The not-for-profit group has saved over 500 abused and abandoned horses, donkeys, and mules.

The event will feature brunch, acoustic music, and the rare chance to meet the rescued equines.

“This isn’t a celebration,” says founder and Chief Executive Officer Susan Kayne. “It’s a reverent honoring of every life saved and every person who stood with us. Together, we’ve rewritten the stories of those once discarded — and this event gives people a chance to witness that transformation.”

Unbridled Sanctuary's operations require over $2,000 a day in essentials like hay, feed, medical care, and upkeep of the barns and grounds. All proceeds will be used to support the current 65 equines in residence.

Tickets are $125, with sponsorships beginning at $250. Reservations are required and space is limited to 100 guests. To reserve a seat or become an event sponsor, visit: www.UnbridledSanctuary.org.
