I just received my copy of the Aug. 14 edition of The Altamont Enterprise in my mailbox and immediately opened it to page 5.

I knew where to look as I received several email messages from local readers who told me how much they enjoyed my story about the Altamont Fair [“Remembering the hijinx and high times at the Altamont Fair of my youth”].

Several of your readers also requested a copy of my wife’s and my book, “Memories & Menus.”

Thank you very much for publishing my story and providing your editing skills together with the  pictures to enhance the story.

I am just adding my thank-you to everyone that forwarded to me their enjoyment of a time and memory many readers could identify with when they had visited the Altamont Fair.
