Carlotta Morris
GREENVILLE — “It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved sister, wife, mother, grammy, great-grammy, and friend,” the family of Carlotta Morris wrote in a tribute.
She died peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, “leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength,” her family wrote.
Born in Brooklyn in 1946 and raised in Medusa, she graduated from Greenville Central School.
“She studied Spanish in Mexico and became an international secretary for Stiefel Labs before becoming a stay-at-home mom,” her family wrote. “When her children were grown, Carlotta held various local jobs, her favorite being at Baumann’s, a Greenville resort, where she particularly enjoyed spending time with the returning families each year.
“Carlotta’s entire life revolved around her family. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with the people she loved. She didn’t need anything fancy, just good conversation and the laughter of her grandchildren nearby. She had the kindest heart, always ready with a listening ear or a gentle word.
“She taught us to appreciate the little things, to love deeply, and to always be kind. Though our hearts are broken, we are comforted knowing she lives on in the cherished memories of everyone who knew her.
“She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.”
