Help keep our rural cemetery beautiful

To the Editor:

Did you know that Saturday, April 26, is New York state’s second annual Caring For Your Cemetery Day?

This year, the board of trustees for the Woodlawn Cemetery in Berne is sponsoring a cleanup day on April 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. We are seeking volunteers to help keep our rural cemetery beautiful.

We will be picking up small branches and debris and raking leaves. Please bring gloves and a rake if you have one. Water will be provided for all volunteers.

We can really use your help, neighbors, and hope to see you there!
