GUILDERLAND — Christopher T. Visker, who was passionate about his family, was the visionary behind Knowledge Builders Inc.

He died on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, after a brief illness. He was 57.

One of seven siblings, he was born on March 8, 1967, the son of Mary Clare Visker and the late Edward W. Visker. He attended Guilderland High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Siena College.

“Chris married Kelly (née Williams) Visker in 1997, and together they raised three children,” his family wrote in a tribute. “Chris was passionate about his family. They meant everything to him, and it was evident in everything he did. He had a wonderful sense of ‘Dad’ humor, often resulting in loving eye rolls from his family.

“Chris was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He also loved the Grateful Dead and attended many concerts in his youth. Chris worked many years at General Electric and was the visionary behind Knowledge Builders Inc. run side by side with Kelly and long-time friends Sanjay and Nirupama Kapalli.”

Christopher T. Visker is survived by his wife, Kelly Visker; his daughter, Ashley Visker; his son Grant (Lily) Visker-Hughes; and his son Zachary Visker (Kay Magennis).

He is also survived by his mother, Mary Clare Visker; his brothers, Michael (Kitti) Visker, Derek (Gabriela) Visker, Kirsten (Bob) Baker, and Kathleen (Eric) Rutledge; his sisters-in-law Kerri-Lynn (Steve) Kimner, Cyndy Visker (Edward R), Candie Boyt (Patrick); his brother-in-law, Kevin Williams; his father-in-law, Harold Williams; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

His father, Edward W. Visker, died before him, as did his brothers, Edward Visker and Patrick Visker.

Calling hours will be Thursday, March 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at DeMarco Stone Funeral Home at 5216 Western Tpke. in Guilderland. The service will be Friday, March 7, at 10 a.m. at the McKownville United Methodist Church.
