To the Editor:

I have been following your coverage of the continued dysfunction of government in my town, but I am not satisfied with the response from the governor’s office.

I would have expected her (specifically the governor) to hop onto replacement of the three board members with, presumably, Democratic candidates.

I have asked Peggy Christman (a fellow Kiwanian) about the town Democratic Committee, and she confirmed that names were submitted. But she didn’t know if the Republican town committee, in fairness, was asked.

Meanwhile, the lack of a quorum has prevented the ordinary function of government, including adoption of the 2025 budget. What is going on?
