Edwardine “Eddy” M. Parshall

Edwardine “Eddy” M. Parshall, a crane operator who liked to crochet, of Newville, Pennsylvania died on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at UPMC Carlisle Regional Medical Center of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She was 73.

She was born on Thursday, May 31, 1951 in Albany, the daughter of the late Charles J. Donato Sr. and Edwardine (née Grainer) Donato.

“Eddy graduated in the Class of 1969 from Clayton A. Bouton High School in Voorheesville,” her family wrote in a tribute. “Eddy worked for Operating Engineers as a licensed crane operator in New York for many years.

“More recently, she was employed by Boyo Transportation as a bus driver for 10 years. In her spare time, Eddy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening.”

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Earl G. Parshall of Newville, Pennsylvania; her daughter, Barbara A. Harrigan and her significant other, Karl Jones, of Delmar; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her two brothers, Edward Donato of Georgia and Charles J. Donato Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; her sister, Bernadine Donato of Raleigh, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Charles J. Donato Sr. and Edwardine (née Grainer) Donato, died before her, as did her daughter, Christina Reynolds.

Memorial services are at the discretion of the family.
