There will be a public hearing held at the next Knox Town ZBA meeting on October 24, 2024, at 7:30pm regarding the application for an area variance at the address of 968 Township Rd Altamont NY 12009. This is in regard to the permit denial to build a wooden carport next to the house, not meeting set back requirements.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the 2025 Preliminary Budget of the Town of Westerlo, has been filed in the office of the Town Clerk in said Town, where it is available for inspection by any person during normal business hours and is available on the town website, www.townofwesterlony.com. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town of Westerlo Town Board will hold three (3) Public Hearings on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 6 pm at the Richard Rapp Municipal Building (Town Hall) located at 933 County Route 401, Westerlo, NY. The purpose of the first Public Hearing is to hear all interested persons on the modification of the water rates and charges for Water District No. 1. The Westerlo Water Board has recommended modification of the water rates and charges to increase the minimum rate from $22.68/thousand to $24.47/thousand gallons as set forth in the schedule on file with the Town Clerk. The second and third Public Hearings are regarding the 2025 Town of Westerlo Vol. Fire Co. Budget and the 2025 Town of Westerlo Preliminary Budget, any person may be heard for or against any item therein contained.
Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are hereby specified as follows: Supervisor $15,000, Councilman (each) $4,000, Town Clerk/Tax Collector $66,196, Supt. of Highways $69,010, Town Justice (each) $13,000.
A Special Town Board and workshop meeting will follow the Public Hearings for the purpose of adopting any actions on the proposed water rates or budgets and any other business before the Board.
