The Balloonary on Madison Avenue in Albany is owned by Nina Young and Stephanie Turcotte. They are opening a pop-up store at Stuyvesant Plaza.

GUILDERLAND — The Balloonary, selling gifts, party supplies, and balloon décor, will have a holiday pop-up store at Stuyvesant Plaza through Dec. 31.

The store will be located between Lola Saratoga and Warby Parker in the Guilderland open-air plaza.

The Balloonary is co-owned by Nina Young and Stephanie Turcotte, whose flagship store debuted in Albany in 2022.

Prior to opening their first shop at 449 Madison Ave., Young operated a photobooth out of a vintage 1963 Airstream Overlander. The idea for a balloon décor business came about after a bride requested a backdrop of inflated balloons for her wedding.

Young designed her inaugural balloon installation for the occasion and posted her work on social media to a receptive audience.
