You are invited for fall fun in Westerlo

To the Editor:

I am pleased to announce and invite everyone to the Town of Westerlo’s Fourth Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 6 p.m. followed by an “After Party” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Westerlo’s Fall Festival keeps getting bigger and better every year. This year, we have the most vendors we’ve ever had and have added a few new attractions.

Attendees can find arts and crafts and games for the kids, a bounce house, rock climbing with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, a reptile exhibit, pony rides, petting zoo, photo booth, performances by Hilltown Hags and Medusa Moonshine, and more!

Food will be available for purchase from the Westerlo Volunteer Fire Company. They will be serving hamburgers, hotdogs, French fries, beverages, and more. Roxy’s Food Truck will be on hand with fried dough and fresh-squeezed lemonade. An ice-cream truck will be available to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Later in the evening, we begin our After Party where everyone can dust off their dancing shoes and get ready for the band Double Barreled. The band performs both country and rock. During the performance, Roxy’s Food Truck will open up for its full menu. At the conclusion of the performance, there will be a fireworks display by Santore’s World Famous Fireworks.

Of course, all of this would not be possible without the amazing employees of the town of Westerlo! The highway and parks department will be busy getting the park ready for the event as well as helping with set-up and clean-up.

The town clerk’s office and my office work with the planning, organizing, set-up, and clean-up. We are grateful to have volunteer members of the fire company who always assist with parking and traffic control. In addition, there are a great number of community members who are volunteers who always pitch in the help out.

A lot of what we do would not be possible without the sponsors of the event. Our largest sponsors this year are Callanan Industries and GNH Lumber, which sponsored the fireworks, and Carver Companies, which sponsored the band for our After Party.

In addition, we are extremely grateful for the following sponsors, their contributions, and their continued support: Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Boehm Farm, Candy Kraft Candies, H.L. Gage Sales Inc., Hannaford, Hannay Reels, Hewitt’s Garden Centers, and Ingalls & Associates LLP.

Also: JH Consulting Group Inc., Northern Supply, Preville Technology, Reinharts Shell Inn, Rick’s Tire Service LLC, River Valley Radio Inc., Robert H. Fin & Sons Inc. ,Contractor’s Equipment, Stewart’s Shops, and Toads LLC.

This surely is an event you don’t want to miss, and we look forward to seeing everyone at Westerlo’s Fall Festival and After Party.

Fall into Westerlo Fun!
