Photos: Birds Win First Ever Sectional Title

On Tuesday, May 28, the Voorheesville girls’ lacrosse team, the top seed in Class D, battled for their first ever Section 2 sectional championship in Class D as they took on Schuylerville, the second seed, at Schuylerville High School. After a slow start, the Blackbirds found their wings and came back to win their first ever sectional title, 17-12. The Birds will play this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Queensbury High School for a trip to the State competition.
