Join us in celebrating Mr. B who made our school a special place

To the Editor:
Our incredible principal of Altamont Elementary School, Mr. Brabant, is retiring at the end of the school year. Our PTA has been working hard to come up with ways to honor and celebrate everything he has done for our school and community over the last 20 years at Altamont.

He has truly made our school a special place and we want him to feel that!

We are inviting any current and past students, employees, and community members to come help us celebrate him! There are a few different events we are doing as well as a community gift.

We really want to celebrate Mr. B in the biggest way for all he has brought to our school. Here’s what we’ve planned:

— 1. Please join us on Thursday, June 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. for his retirement party at AES! We will have food trucks, face-painting, and other activities! Come and have dinner and enjoy the company of our one and only, Mr. B! Food trucks: Buena Comida Taco Truck, Big D’s BBQ & Kona Ice;

— 2. Mr. B’s last walking school bus! Please spread the word! We would love to get the whole village to come! Current students, former students, teachers, parents, community members, the bigger the better! Friday, June 14, meet in Orsini Park at 7:20 a.m. and walk to school!

We hope to see you there!
