The Community Bank was robbed of about $4,000 on Thursday morning, police say.

BETHLEHEM — On Thursday morning, a man wearing a mask handed a teller a note requesting money at Delmar’s Community Bank, according to a release from Bethlehem Police.

The release said events unfolded this way:

Police responded to the bank alarm at 10:32 a.m. When they arrived at 197 Delaware Ave., bank employees said a robbery had just occurred.

“It is believed the suspect received $4000 cash from the bank,” the release said, before he fled the scene, driving toward Albany.

Bethlehem Police are investigating.
