Mary L. Wolfe

Mary L. Wolfe, whom her family described as a great homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother, was also a pilot who flew all over the United States with her husband.

She died peacefully on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Guilderland Center. She was 92.

Born in County Gray Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada on Feb. 5, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Ross and Ethel Mary (née MacInnis) Clendenning.

“She would marry the love of her life, Charles F. Wolfe Sr., on June 30, 1951 at MacAlpine Presbyterian Church in Buffalo, New York,” her family wrote in a tribute, “and would later become an American citizen on Nov. 11, 1954.

“Together, they would raise four children in Buffalo before moving to Voorheesville in 1961. They had renovated an old farm house on 33 Pleasant Street and made it a home for 16 years before moving to the town of Wilton, Saratoga Springs.

“Later in life, she received her private pilot’s license and flew all over the USA with her husband.

“Through her life she was a great homemaker, accountant, seamstress, knitter, teacher, caregiver, and a loving mother and grandmother.”
