To the Editor:
It took you to paragraph 39 of your Jan. 18 editorial to say ADU [“Guilderland needs affordable, accessible housing for its elderly residents”]. 

There is an easier way to explain and soft sell Governor Kathy Hochul’s Accessory Dwelling Unit grant. The childhood song, “Ten in the Bed” nails the ADU concept with just a few tweaks like this (a parody):

And the NYC mayor said,

There were nine in the bed
And the rental community said,
“Roll over! Roll over!”
So they all rolled over and one fell in —

There was ten in the bed
And the community said,
“Good night (and goodbye)!”
