CLARKSVILLE — Blair Joseph Sala “went to be with God” on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, his family wrote in a tribute. He was 47.
He was born on Jan. 17, 1976 in Albany to Joseph and Diane Sala of Clarksville.

He attended Voorheesville’s high school and earned a bachelor of science degree in economics at the University of Oregon. He worked for the last 20 years with Cognia as a content specialist.

“Blair loved his weekly outings to the car races with his good friend, Chris Wilkes,” the tribute said. “Blair regularly attended the Clarksville Community Church. He enjoyed watching sports and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and Oregon Ducks. Go Ducks!”

He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Diane Sala; by his sisters, Staci DeLorenzo and her husband, Mark, of Voorheesville and Jill Greaux and her husband, Scott, of Glenmont; by four nieces and nephews; by several cousins; and by his beautiful cat, Maggie.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a funeral on Friday at 11 a.m. — both at New Comer Cremations & Funerals at 343 New Karner Road in Colonie.
