I am diligent and persistent but also caring and understanding

To the Editor:
As we near Election Day, I first wish to congratulate Town Justice John Bailey on a standout career and wish him the best for his well-deserved retirement. His 20 years of public service to Guilderland is something to be grateful for and has left me inspired.

The responsibilities I have as a lawyer, husband, and father of three young children have not only tested me, but have shaped me into the personality I am. I am diligent and persistent but also caring and understanding.

I’ve been left energized from my primary win earlier this year and thank the voters I connected with that opted for me over the endorsed candidate. Now, I look forward to connecting with as many of you that I can before the general election and early voting begins.

If I don’t get to meet you in person, please know that I will work hard as your next town justice to reduce the court backlog in a fair and impartial manner and to ensure that everyone in Guilderland gets a fair shake at the town court.

I promise to run a sensible and efficient court if elected, and I will bring with me the very same energy and character that my colleagues and adversaries appreciate so much. As a New York and federally admitted attorney with a background in mediation, I can assure you that I am ready to be the next Guilderland town justice.

Steve Chesley

Candidate for

Guilderland Town Justice
