What can we do for first responders who don’t own a home?

To the Editor:
I think the tax break for first responders is great [“GCSD set to vote on tax breaks,” The Altamont Enterprise, June 22, 2023].

But what about first responders who live in a rented apartment or with parents. What can we do for them?
