Thanks for joining the Memorial Day festivities

To the Editor:
To those of you who attended the Memorial Day Parade in Berne, we want to say thanks for coming and joining in the festivities.

The parade committee and Helderberg Kiwanis Club would like to thank the Altamont Veterans of Foreign Wars Post; Boy Scout Troop 1079; the East Berne and Berne fire police; the New York State Troopers; the Albany County Sheriff’s Office; Revs. Becky and Greg Town; the towns of Berne, Knox, and Westerlo; and all who participated in the parade.

A big thank-you to Lily Sisson for her performance of taps as well as to Stacy Wright and Russ Pokorny who also played for the ceremony.
