Robert B. Traina

Robert B. Traina, a Vietnam veteran, died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was 77.

Mr. Traina was born in Queens, New York on April 13, 1945, the only child of the late Caroline Traina.

He grew up in North Babylon, New York. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was employed by Pan American Airlines until moving upstate. There he was employed by General Electric and the Watervliet Arsenal.

Besides his wife, Lorayne (née Rohrlack) Traina, he is survived by his children, Robert M. Traina and his wife, Catherine, and Christina Meservey and her husband, Brian. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Vincent and Kristian, Brian Jr., and Nicolas and Alexis. 

Burial will be in the spring at the Knox Cemetery.
