Marie L. Cook

WESTERLO — Marie L. Cook, who loved spending time with her family, died peacefully at home on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022. She was 78 years old.

She was a lifetime resident of Westerlo, attending Berne-Knox-Westerlo School. She worked for many years at Ingalside Resort and also worked for and retired from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.

“She loved spending time with her family, cooking out, and camping,” her family wrote in a tribute. “She loved her bingo, her dogs, bowling, and motorcycle club.”

She is survived by her son, James “Bradley” Cook, and his wife, Tammy; by her daughter, Christine LeMay, and her husband, Harold; by her grandchildren, Rebecca, Tyler, James Cook, Ashley LeMay; and by her great-granddaughter, Rayleigh Cook.

She is also survived by her brother, Richard Milner, and his wife, Toni; by her goddaughter, April Johnson; and by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces.

Her husband, Earl B. Cook, died before her, as did her parents, Clinton and Lillian Milner; her brother, Clinton “Jack” Milner; and her sister, Shirley Williams.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, from noon to 2 p.m. at the A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, in Greenville, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. She will then be interred in the Rensselaerville Cemetery.
