Practicing for the state boards: Recent Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School graduates — from back to front, Madison Sleurs, Faith Wager, Elizabeth McMurphy and Sierra Spaulding of Guilderland, Elizabeth McMurphy of Mohonasen, Faith Wager of Shenendehowa, and Madison Sleurs of Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk — practice this week for the New York State Cosmetology Board licensure exam. They were practicing the “chemical works” portion of the state board exam while also earning hours towards the 1,000 hours of lab and classroom time required by New York State.
