WESTERLO — Adriance V. Loucks of Westerlo, a contractor who loved his family, died at St. Peter’s Hospital on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, after complications from surgery. He was 74.

Adie was born on Oct. 10, 1947, in Albany. He was employed at Alside Supply company for several years before becoming an independent contractor.

“He and his wife, Barbara, shared 57 wonderful years of marriage,” his family wrote in a tribute. “They enjoyed traveling, camping, and entertaining family and friends at their home. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

“He enjoyed the warm weather and looked forward to mowing the lawn each year. He enjoyed picnics, playing poker, listening to oldies and gospel music. He always looked forward to a home-cooked meal and would always joke that they tasted better if they were free.

“He was known for picking on and aggravating people, especially those he loved. He loved showing up to his job sites with his Stewart’s coffee and cigarettes in hand ready to supervise his workers. Adie was so loved and will be deeply missed and held close in the hearts of everyone who knew him.”
