BETHLEHEM — Two men have been charged after, police say, they falsely reported, on March 20, that a building was on fire.

Bethlehem Police and firefighters responded to a call at 8:05 that morning and found no fire.

Bethlehem detectives determined the call originated from an address in the city of Albany and, according to a release from the department, identified two suspects:

— Dylan R. Lafave, 28, of Greenville, who was charged with second-degree reporting a fire, explosion, or hazardous substance to an official, a felony, and with criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor, and is to return to Bethlehem Town Court on May 17; and

— Ryan M. Albright, 24, of Altamont, who was charged with fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor, and is to return to Bethlehem Town Court on April 6.

However, a Bethlehem judge determined that the evidence against Ryan was "insufficient" and dismissed the charge against him.
