Guilderland has 42 historic markers

This plaque, placed in 1927, is older than the 41 gold and blue historic markers in Guilderland. It is on Route 20 next to the original, but now unused, entrance to Guilderland Elementary School.

To the Editor:

The presentation by the Guilderland Historic Society regarding the blue and gold historic markers went off Thursday, Feb. 24, and was  enjoyed by an appreciative audience.

Thank you to society President Bill Johnson and Vice President Tom Capuano for organizing this.

There are 41 blue and gold historic markers in Guilderland dating back to 1932. There is one that is older and is shown here.

Where is this one located? Many people pass by it daily.

Thank you for tuning in. There will be more programs in the spring.
