Hike in sewer fee hurts

To the Editor:
The formerly $45, and now $100, sewer rate is not many dollars, unless you are living on a limited income [“Altamont sewer fees more than double,” The Altamont Enterprise, Dec. 8, 2021].

If you are living so, it means a little less in your grocery cart, or a little cut to other areas of your standard of living.

With inflation running rampant for groceries and utilities, gas and rent, health insurance and copays, many people are stressed.

It isn’t a big hike, in the big picture, just as the Earth is only a tiny blue planet in the big picture. When one looks closer, the Earth is full of life, and many people are hurting financially.
