Elliott House Thrift Shop re-opens March 16

The Elliott House Thrift Shop in Norton Hill will be open for the 2022 season beginning Wednesday, March 16.
The hours are Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shop is closed in inclement weather.

The thrift shop is located next to the Methodist Church on Route 81 at the site of the former Powell Store.

Clothing donations will be accepted in the donation room at the back of the store on Route 81 on Saturday, March 5 and 12. Beginning March 19, all types of donations will be accepted.

The drop-off will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Items should be clean and in working condition. We cannot accept large items, as we do not have space to accommodate them in the shop. We also don’t accept TVs, microwaves, computers, or monitors.

“We offer clothing and small decorative household items at a very reasonable price and hope that you will come and shop,” say shop organizers. “Volunteers run this shop and all proceeds of the shop benefit the programs of the Asbury United Methodist Church.”
