Erik Grissell keeps his word and fights for people

To the Editor:
With the upcoming New Scotland town elections underway, I wanted to share my experience with Erik Grissell. I have found that, regardless of political views, good leaders can be found by assessing their character.

I have had the opportunity to befriend Erik and “do life” with him and his family over the past few years.  Through this time, Erik and I have shared many heart-to-heart conversations.

Over and over again, he consistently shares his faith in God, devotion to country, and dedication to do what is right. Erik isn’t afraid to defend others’ rights and he goes the extra mile to be a help to those in his path.

I have personally experienced how Erik graciously supports my family on a weekly basis without benefit to himself. He does this not for credit or acknowledgement, but simply because he follows through with making the needs of others a priority for him and his family.

While I am not skilled to talk point to point on each political topic, one thing I know about Erik’s character is that he will follow through on what he proposes to do.  He consistently keeps his word and fights for the people.

Isn’t that essentially what we all want in a leader? So, during this election, I ask that we, the people base our vote not on political affiliation, but on the character of the candidate you are choosing. I trust Erik to look out for the best interest of our community.
