Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, September 29, 2021

Schoharie Library hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please wear a face mask inside the library and when social distancing is not possible at outside events, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you!

The next meeting of the Schoharie Library Board of Trustees is Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. The public is welcome.

Programs

In-person programs:

— Community Arts Grants Q&A Session: Thursday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m. Learn about how to apply for a Community Arts Grant. Register at https://www.greenearts.org/grant-seminars/;

— Knitcetera Club: Tuesdays, Oct. 12 and 26 at 10:30 a.m. Knit, crochet, sew, work on a project — beginners welcome;

— Story Time on the Porch with Miss Yvonne: Fridays at 10 a.m. Space is limited, so please RSVP to ;

— What’s for Lunch? has been postponed;

— Service Dogs: Thursday, Oct. 14, at 4 p.m. Learn about service dogs with Jubilee Schmid and her dog, Sydney; and

— Scary Stories and Halloween Fun: Thursday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m. Stories on the porch with Miss Yvonne, a costume parade, and games.

— UFO (Unfinished Object Club): Thursdays, Oct. 7 and 21, at 10 a.m.;

— Navigating the Virtual Classroom: Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 p.m. An opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about Google Classroom and Schoology. This project is supported by funds from the New York State Library’s Adult Literacy Library Services Program;

— Books & Chocolate: Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m. Join us online to talk about books you’ve enjoyed recently, and get ideas for what to read next; and

— Create a Beaded Flower Motif: Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Zoom. Instructor: Betty Fikes Pillsbury. Materials provided, registration required.
