Night desk clerk at Comfort Inn charged with unlawful surveillance

BETHLEHEM — The night desk clerk of the Comfort Inn on Route 9W in Glenmont was charged on Friday, Aug. 6, with second-degree unlawful surveillance, a felony.

He was seen placing “an image-recording device” under the door of a hotel room occupied by a female, according to a release from the Bethlehem Police who made the arrest after responding to the 1:59 a.m. report.

Bryan R. Taylor, age 30, of Albany, was processed on the charge and issued an appearance ticket to return to court on Aug. 17.

The Bethlehem Police Department is asking anyone who has stayed at the Comfort Inn at 37 Route  9W and thinks they may have been a victim to call the Bethlehem Police at 518-439-9973.
