— Online Story Time: Friday, June 18, at 10 a.m. Miss Heather returns for the last Online Story Time. In-person Story Time will resume in the fall;
— Writing Club: Mondays, June 21 and 28, at 6:30 p.m.;
— Computer Gaming — Keeping Kids Safe: Wednesday, June 23, 6:30 p.m. We will discuss parental controls, privacy settings, and ways to tell your kids to look out for online predators. We will also discuss how to mitigate cyberbullying and prevention techniques. Aneesa Hussain and Ajran Hussain are the facilitators. This project is supported by funds from the New York State Library and Adult Literacy Library Services Program.
In-person programs
Visit the Schoharie Library at 103 Knower Ave. for these programs:
— Celebrate Summer Reading with The Rubber Band: Tuesday, June 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the library lawn. Enjoy hot Cajun music and dancing with this popular local band! We’ll also have children’s activities;
— Life Drawing Classes: Thursdays, June 24, July 1, 8, and 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the library lawn. Learn how to draw the human figure with a live (lightly clothed) model. This is for participants ages 10 to adult of all abilities. Registration is appreciated as class size is limited;
— Knitcetera: Tuesdays, June 22 and July 13, at 10:30 a.m. Quilt, knit, embroider — bring a project to the library and chat; and
— Discovery Tuesdays: July 6 to Aug. 10, weekly at 10 a.m. on the library porch/lawn. Different every week — live animals, tie dye, old-fashioned games and tools, and more!
