Lisa Sperry
EAST BERNE — Lisa Sperry “gained her angel wings at Albany Medical Center” on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, her family wrote in a tribute. She was 55.
She was born on May 6, 1966 in Albany, New York to Lawrence Kenneth and Betty Jean (née Speenburgh) Ingleston. She graduated from Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School. After high school, she worked as a waitress at area restaurants, cared for seniors, and worked in the school cafeteria.
“Lisa met the love of her life, Phillip Sperry, in high school; they married and eventually settled in East Berne, New York,” her family wrote. “Together they made a home and became a family of six with their four sons, Christian, Colton, Calvin, and Cade.
“Lisa was devoted to her family and took great joy in raising her children. She was happy to have all her sons’ friends at her home and was lovingly known as ‘Mama Lisa.’ The Sperry home was their home. Lisa cherished family time and loved spending holidays and celebrations with all the family. She enjoyed reading, movies, flowers, and gardening.”
