Delmar woman charged for package thefts

BETHLEHEM — A Bethlehem Police investigation of stolen packages ended with the arrest on March 4 of Maureen M. McCarthy, 41, of Delmar.

The packages were stolen from homes as well as from drop boxes belonging to FedEx, United Parcel Service, and the United States Postal Service, located at the rear of Main Square Plaza at 318 Delaware Ave. in Delmar, according to a release from the Bethlehem Police.

McCarthy was charged with several counts of criminal possession of stolen property with more charges expected.

She is due in Bethlehem Town Court on April 6.

The Bethlehem Police ask that people who believe they had a package stolen to call 518-439-9973 and further request that packages not be left next to full drop boxes
