To the Editor:

The New York Capital District Christian Women’s Connection is sponsoring a “Time-Honored Treasures” luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the Guilderland Elks Lodge, 3867 Route 146 (Carman Road) in Guilderland, beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at approximately 1:30 p.m. Covid-19 recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be adhered to along with a limit of 50 reservations.

Your reservation is necessary no later than Jan. 8 and announcing cancellations is a must. Please call Nancy at 518-869-0642 or Carol at 518-869-5253 for reservations. On the menu this month is chicken marsala with white rice with an alternative choice of grilled chicken salad. The cost is $17 inclusive (cash only please).

Our special feature this month is Joan Wyche from Black Sheep Antiques, a multi-level and multi-dealer antiques shop in Duanesburg. Our special speaker, Gail DeLoriea from Greenwich, will give a talk titled “Who Will Be There for Me? Feeling Alone and Afraid, to Feeling Love and Secure.” Our special music will be provided by one of our favorite people, Carla Paige.

All are welcome — bring a friend or your significant other.
