Tristan P. A. Von Haugg

 Tristan Paul Anthony Von Haugg, who served in the United States Airforce and then worked for Albany County, died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020. He was 75.

Tristan was born on Oct. 17, 1945 to Lothar and Bertha Von Haugg. He attended school at Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central Schools, and joined the Air Force in 1963 as an aircraft maintenance technician in both Taiwan and Hawaii.

After his honorable discharge in 1965, he settled in East Berne where he worked for the County of Albany in the Town of Berne in construction until his retirement.  

“Tristan enjoyed hiking, hunting, spending time with his family and friends as well as many loyal dogs,” his family wrote in a tribute. “Tristan was deeply loved and will be missed by all.”

He is survived by his siblings, Diana of Lebanon, Tennessee, Isolde of Manassas, Virginia, and Richard of East Berne; and by several nephews and nieces as well as great- nephews and nieces.

His brother, Mark, died before him.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date for immediate family and friends.
