Due to the COVID-19 surge, Albany County has closed the Helderberg Senior Services lunch program to protect the older adults that we serve. We will keep you apprised of its re-opening in this newspaper.

Seniors can receive assistance from Albany County for HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) and other county programs by calling ACCESS NY Connection at 518-447-7177.

Veterans needing assistance with services, such as obtaining hearing aids, glasses, and general veteran services, should call Mike Green from the Albany County Veterans at 518-447-7710.

Catholic Charities Senior & Caregivers Support Services provides assistance to family caregivers caring for older adult loved ones living at home. Services and information on respite options, counseling, support groups, and much more are available. To receive assistance, call Catholic Charities at 518-372-5667, ext. 204.
