Photos: GHS field hockey season ends with a hard loss
The Guilderland girls field hockey team hoped their postseason magic they had last year would help them in the 2020 postseason in the Suburban Council Championships in a crazy year due to COVID-19. On Monday, the Dutch opened up the postseason with a thrilling 2 to 1 win in a shootout over Shaker. Then faced top-seeded Shen on Wednesday, unfortunately their season closed with a 5 to 1 loss.

Simeone stopped all six shootout shots she faced and made six saves during the game. The Dutch won, 2-to-1, in Monday’s Suburban Council quarterfinal championships then lost to Shen on Wednesday.
