Scouts hold food and bottle drive on Halloween

To the Editor:

In spite of the COVID-19 issue going on, Scout Troop 1264 is holding its annual Food and Bottle Drive on Oct. 31. Of course, we’ve changed our routine to be contamination safe, and will follow these protocols.

The drive will be from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Altamont Community Food Pantry at 122 Grand Street. This year, all food and bottles must be delivered directly to the food pantry.

They will be collected in different areas, and all Scouts will be wearing masks and gloves. We accept most food items, except for perishable and/or expired food.

Come to support the pantry and the troop!
