The world is watching

To the Editor:

All white Americans must come to grips with the racism that is destroying our country.

If we don’t feel comfortable with participating in protests, the least we can do is erect signs outside our homes supporting the demonstrators. The entire world is watching our response to black and brown Americans’ call for justice.

We should be seeing “Black Lives Matter” or “Justice for George Floyd” signs in front of scores of houses. In a small way, it would show our disgust with the racial injustice that African Americans have suffered for more than 400 years and our determination to demand change.
