To the Editor:

As both a parent of children in the Voorheesville School District and an invested community member, I wholeheartedly support Patricia Putman for the Voorheesville School Board.

I am fortunate to serve alongside Tricia on the Voorheesville Community & School Foundation where she serves as our treasurer. I can attest to Tricia’s strong abilities with the budgeting and financial planning requirements of the foundation, as well as her talent to be organized, prepared, and responsive to our overall needs. She is over-qualified as our treasurer and we benefit greatly from her 20 years of financial management experience.

Tricia is highly involved in the school district as a parent, volunteer, and as a proactive community member, consistently attuned to the current state of the Voorheesville School Board and district happenings. I strongly believe that her financial experience and varied dedication to our community will help the school district face the challenges ahead.

She also supports a strong STEM [science, technology, engineering, math] curriculum for students and is an advocate for the arts in our schools, both of which are important to me and to the foundation.

As a bonus, Tricia is kind, generous, and resourceful. I know she will be a great addition to the Voorheesville School Board, and I urge you to support her nomination by voting for Tricia Putman via absentee ballot by June 9.
