To the Editor:

As a local contractor who owns and operates a business in Altamont/Guilderland that also employs several Guilderland residents, I support the development of land adjacent to Crossgates to build a much desired Costco.

This will be a great addition to the marketplace and will be a valuable asset for the town of Guilderland and Albany County.

I commend the town for taking the extra time, with the COVID-19 crisis, to allow local residents to comment. I am voicing my opinion with the hope that the planning board will continue to advance the project in a timely manner. As businesses and residents of Guilderland, we need to make sure we are taking the next steps that would allow for site construction of this project to happen this summer.

Once the approvals are granted, we should be ready to get local employees back to work as soon as possible.This project will have a positive impact on our local workforce and our regional economy.
