New dining and “country kitchen” areas are part of the multi-million-dollar renovations at Albany County’s nursing home. Shaker Place, as it is now called, offers 24-hour nursing care; physical, occupational, respiratory, and speech therapies; nutritional programs; social services; recreational activities; clinic services; psychological services; staff physicians; spiritual care and programs; and volunteer programs, according to an announcement from the Albany County Executive’s Office.
