On Saturday,  wrestlers from Guilderland and Berne-Knox-Westerlo hit the mat in Matmania at Glens Falls High School. The Dutchmen finished in third place with a score of 100 points and the Bulldogs finished in 13th with 30 points.

Champion: BKW’s Tyler Goodemote made history during the tournament by winning the 100th match in his high school career. Here, Goodemote wrestles Logan Knowles in the quarterfinal matchup in the 182-pound weight class where he pinned Knowles in 35 seconds then went on to win the tournament.

Up you go: BKW’s Hunter Parker picks up Glens Falls’ Trevor Swinton in the first period in the 138-pound weight class. Parker won that match by pinfall in 2:52 then fell short of placing in the top four.

All muscle: Guilderland’s Sean Collins uses his strength to move Catskill’s Stephen Forbes to his back in the 170-pound-weight quarterfinal. Collins won, 8 to 7, in a last-second move then finished third overall.

Making it painful: Guilderland's James Hough makes Fonda/Johnstown’s Maccrea Godbout wince in pain during the quarterfinal match in the 138-pound weight class. Hough won by pin in 4:26 and finished second overall.

Precise move: Guilderland's Justin Lamb attempts to release the grip of Fonda/Johnstown’s Luke Ahrens in the first period. Lamb came back to pin Ahrens at 5:50 and finished third.
