Wreaths Across America: Volunteers place wreaths on the graves of veterans at Westerlo Rural Cemetery on Saturday.

To the Editor:

A huge thank-you goes out to all who participated in Wreaths Across America at the Westerlo Rural Cemetery on Saturday.

Thanks to the families and volunteers who slogged through the snow and slush to place wreaths on 130 graves of veterans from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, War of 1812, World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

Also special recognition to the Westerlo Fire Police, Patriot Riders, American Legion, Kyle Thompson, and Jim Sill for making the ceremony safe and meaningful.

It was a privilege and an honor to be able to recognize our veterans in this way and participate in this nationwide program!
