PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Westerlo Town Board will hold two Public Hearings on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Richard Rapp Municipal Bldg. (Town Hall) located at 933 County Route 401, Westerlo, NY at 7 PM. The first Public Hearing is for proposed Local Law No. 3 -2019 Solid Waste Management Code (SWMC). The purpose of the law is to repeal and replace existing local laws, rules and regulations related to the collection, transportation, disposal, management and recycling of solid waste in the Town of Westerlo. The second Public Hearing is for proposed Local Law No. 4 -2019 Notice of Highway Defects Law. The purpose of the law is to provide for written notification of defects and obstructions on town highways, bridges, streets, sidewalks, crosswalks, and culverts in the Town of Westerlo. The regular Town Board monthly meeting will follow.

December 17, 2019

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the Town Law of the State of New York, that a Special Election of the McKownville Fire District will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the McKownville Fire House, 1250 Western Avenue, (County of Albany), New York for the purpose of voting upon the following proposition.

All residents of the McKownville Fire District, who were duly registered to vote with the Albany County Board of Elections on or before November 24, 2019, shall be entitled to vote at this election.

PROPOSITION

Shall the Resolution of McKownville Fire District in the County of Albany, State of New York, entitled ” BOND RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF MCKOWNVILLE FIRE DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF GUILDERLAND, ALBANY COUNTY, NEW YORK, ADOPTED NOVEMBER 6, 2019, AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION AND PURCHASE OF SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS AND MASKS FOR USE WITHIN THE FIRE DISTRICT AND AREAS SERVED BY THE DISTRICT STATING THE ESTIMATED MAXIMUM COST OF SAID ACQUISITION AND EQUIPPING TOGETHER WITH CERTAIN COSTS PRELIMINARY AND INCIDENTAL THERETO IS $196,000.00, APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $139,475.00 SERIAL BONDS OF THE DISTRICT TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION..” be approved?
