PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Local Law #5 of 2019 has been introduced by the Town Board of the Town of Berne. This Local Law is entitled “Establishing a Six-month Moratorium on Applications, Approvals and/or Construction or Installation of Small-Scale Battery Storage Systems in the Town of Berne.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a public hearing on proposed Local Law #5 for 2019 will be held at the Berne Town Hall, Berne, New York at 6:45 PM on the 9th day of October, 2019 and that an opportunity to be heard in regard thereto will then and there be given to those favoring passage of such proposed Local Law and also to those opposed thereto.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Voorheesville Board of Trustees adopted a resolution authorizing the expenditure of a maximum of $70,000 from the Village’s Vehicle Reserve Fund for the purchase of a Packer. Such purchase is necessary because of aging equipment. This purchase is being shared with the Town of New Scotland under a shared services agreement.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the aforesaid resolution, adopted on September 24, 2019, is subject to permissive referendum and will not take effect for 30 days or until a referendum is held in the event of the requisite number of petitions subscribed and acknowledged by electors of the Village in opposition of such expenditure are submitted to Village Clerk within 30 days of the date of adoption.
