Schoharie Library Notes for Wednesday, September 18, 2019
Story time returns to the Schoharie Library every Friday at 10 a.m. Themes for upcoming sessions include: Happy Birthday on Sept. 20, Author Jan Thomas on Sept. 27, and Fall on Oct. 4.
Stories, crafts, games, and more are all part of story time. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Knitcetera
The Knitcetera Club will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 10:30 a.m. Knit, crochet, embroider, quilt and join this fun, creative group! Meets second and fourth Tuesdays.
Read to a Dog
Read with Ariel on Friday, Sept. 27, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Reading to a therapy dog is a fun way for kids to enhance reading skills!
Writing Conference
“The Write Stuff” meets Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The keynote speaker is author Coleen Paratore; and remote Q&A with fantasy author Elizabeth Bear. The panel discussion is followed by a light lunch. Free program, registration required.

Writing Club
On Monday, Sept. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m..writers of all ages are welcome! Bring your fiction, non-fiction, poetry, etc. to share, discuss and critique. Meets first, third, and sometimes fifth Mondays.

Looking ahead: The Schoharie and Middleburgh libraries present “Tech Savvy,” a series to help people gain and expand computer skills. “E-mail Basics,” Oct. 8, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Schoharie Library. “Getting Started on Etsy,” Oct. 12, 1 to 4 p.m., Middleburgh Library.
