Photos: Random Rural Riding in Rensselearville

Over 50 bicyclists took to the streets of the Hilltowns on Sunday morning to tour Rensselaerville’s five hamlets in the fourth annual Rensselaerville Ride event, sponsored by the Carey Institute for Global Good’s Sustainable Communities Program and Helderberg Brewery in collaboration with the New York Bicycling Coalition.

A “Share the Road” campaign, new this year, promoted safe riding on rural roads.

Cyclists could follow routes over the hilly terrain that covered 40, 30, or 17 miles. Never alone ,these two riders take off together up the hill of County Route 353 from the Helderberg Brewery.

After the final tune-ups: Cyclists take that hard right from the Brewery to start their ride. After the ride, the Helderberg Brewery Taproom hosted a party with local food, beverages and music.
